Your local bookstore will have cookbooks for diabetes and these all have all of the exchange and nutritional info for each recipe. If you want something sweet freeze some grapes, but becareful of the amount of fruit you eat because if you eat too much it will raise your blood sugar, The cookbooks also carry the much loved sweet recipes in them as well.

Some of the things I like to eat
Very thick “milk shakes” Don’t worry they r good 4 u
You can use what ever milk you want I use skim
    Frozen strawberries
Take one cup of frozen strawberries yes they have to be frozen get a big bag of them just to have on hand

put the berries in the blender add a little milk and I put it on turbo I add a little at a time and stir after plusing i add just enough so that it tunnels or sucks down in the middle when on Because of the frozen berries this makes the thickest milk shake

you can also add plain unsweetened yogurt

you can pour some of this in single serving size containers and freeze them for your own ice milk

make it with just abit of milk and the rest plain unsweetened yogurt for frozen yogurt

    for a sweet treat
use frozen berries I use a mix of black berry raspberry and blue berry and put some in the blender and add juice and do the same as the milk shake I freeze in containers

To make it better for you use the new ocean spray juice blends read the label and make sure they did not add futos or glucos

For a crunchy treat soak and cook dried beans or chick peas ones they are cooked rince well place in a bowl that will hold them plus give u room to stir add olive oil enough to coat and add salt or garlic or what ever spice you like or plain now pre heat oven to 350* F place the beans on a cookie sheet and bake until dried and crunchy
you can make them ketchup flavour by adding ketchup to the soaking water and the cooking water

Take a dence bread like any of the whole grains but one that has not been sliced yet
leave it out over night on the next day slice very thin just under 1/4 inch thick pre heat oven to 350* F and place bread on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake until dry and toasted fairly dark
I like the rye breads it is like melba toast
Keep in a tin is best

on it I put salmon or tuna peanut butter

I have more if you want email me if you want them
